What should you do?

Reduce speed, keep a safe gap and follow the temporary lane markings through the crossover. Change lane only if other roadworks signs or markings direct you to do so.

How to recognise it

The orange diamond and black offset arrow distinguish a temporary roadworks crossover from a permanent yellow warning sign.

Common confusion

The out sign marks the move away from the normal carriageway. The matching back sign shows the lane returning after the works area.
