Staggered crossroads

Staggered crossroads

Warns of a staggered crossroads ahead, where side roads join from the left and the right at points slightly apart rather than directly opposite.

Junction Signs

What should you do?

Slow down and watch both side roads separately, as traffic may emerge or cross between them; do not overtake through the junctions.

How to recognise it

Yellow diamond with a vertical black line and two short branches at different heights, one to the left and one to the right.

Common confusion

The offset branches distinguish it from the ordinary crossroads sign, where both side roads meet at a single point.
