Side road

Side road

Warns of a side road joining your road ahead, on the side shown by the short branch line.

Junction Signs

What should you do?

Watch for vehicles pulling out of the side road and for traffic ahead slowing to turn into it, and avoid overtaking near the junction.

How to recognise it

Yellow diamond with a long black vertical line and a short branch line coming off one side.

Common confusion

Do not confuse it with the T-junction sign: here your road continues straight on, whereas at a T-junction your road ends.
