Lane destination sign

A sign showing which lanes lead to which routes at the junction ahead.

Advance Information Signs

What should you do?

Get into the lane that matches your destination in good time, without last-minute lane changes.

How to recognise it

A green sign with a junction number, an R132 arrow for the left lane and N2 in yellow above two upward lane arrows.

Common confusion

Each arrow represents a lane; learners sometimes read the whole sign as one direction instead of picking the right lane.

Explanation written by the My Driving Test editorial team using the Department of Transport Traffic Signs Manual conventions and the RSA Rules of the Road.
